A great smile is an asset. Tooth Whitening is a fast and easy way to enhance your smile and giving you confidence you never thought possible. Teeth can become discoloured for a number of reasons. Everyday activities, such as your dietary and social habits, can have a significant affect on the colour of your teeth. Caffeine, soft drinks, red wine, tea, tobacco and antibiotics; will all cause tooth discolouration. A Tooth Whitening treatment can reverse the effects of aging and discolouration; helping you achieve a dazzling, natural smile.
CROWN
A Crown is necessary when a tooth is in a poor condition. This is the case when a tooth begins to crack, break, is diseased or badly decayed. These conditions may be caused from; a large filling, the aging of the tooth, improper bite, grinding, poor oral hygiene, trauma to the mouth or after a Root Canal treatment. Covering the entire surface of the tooth, Crowns can provide numerous benefits to patients. These benefits aid with both the aesthetic and functional nature of the tooth. Increased strength and stability are the major structural advantages provided by Crowns. This method of treatment also produces aesthetic results; with the Crown having the same color, texture and translucency as your existing teeth.
BRIDGE
A dental bridge is an appliance used to fill a gap from a missing tooth. You can greatly enhance the appearance of your teeth and get a beautiful smile with dental bridging.
The dentist begins bridgework by filing down the teeth to accommodate the crowns. Impressions of the teeth are made to create the dental crowns. The false tooth (or teeth) will then be bonded to the crowns. The bridge will be put in place during a follow up visit. Dental bridges can be manufactured from a range of materials such as dental porcelain, gold, metal alloys, composite resin or a combination of these materials.
IMPLANT
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a periodontist or oral surgeon places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth. While high-tech in nature, dental implants are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework, since implants do not rely on neighboring teeth for support.
TOOTH COLOURED FILLING
Tooth-coloured Fillings make your teeth appear whiter, brighter and healthier than before. It is now possible to have Tooth-coloured Fillings created to match the exact colour, texture and translucency of your existing teeth. Tooth-coloured Fillings are not only limited to new dental repairs, older restorations may also be replaced. These aesthetic materials will help give your smile a new lease on life.
DENTURE
Denture is a plastic appliance with plastic or porcelain teeth attached to it. Used to replace all missing teeth in one arch.Dentures can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so that little change in appearance will be noticeable. Dentures will improve the look of your smile and help fill out the appearance of your face and profile. Dentures improve chewing ability and speech while providing support for facial muscles. There are two main types of Dentures: full and partial. We will work with you to determine the best form of Denture treatment for your individual needs.
IMPACTED WISDOM TEETH
Most people have a set of 32 adult teeth. In a significant number of people, there is not enough ‘room’ in the jaws to permit the very back molars, or wisdom teeth, to erupt into a proper, healthy, position . This can result in misaligned wisdom teeth that are able to only partially erupt through the gums, or even not erupt at all. These teeth are described as ‘impacted’. The wisdom teeth may also erupt through the gums, but still remain in a poor position because of their inclination or of the way the gum sits around the tooth. These teeth are considered to be ‘malpositioned’. Impacted and malpositioned wisdom teeth both, can lead to gum and tooth disease as well as other worse jaw disease.
ENDODONTIC
Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) is the area of dentistry dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the dental pulp. This treatment is designed to save diseased or injured teeth. When we carry out root canal therapy, we first anaesthetize the tooth fully to ensure that the treatment is carried out comfortably.
SCALING
Regular scaling is effective for general removal of plaque
and tartar on the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth. Scaling is also effective to remove staining in between the teeth and under the gums. HoweverAir-Flow method effectively removes stains reaching small gaps in between the teeth and under the gums that cannot be reached with regular scaling.
